snappyHexMesh memory or install problem?
Hi All,
I receive the following error running snappyHexMesh during mesh castellation surface refinement iterations: new cannot satisfy memory request. This does not necessarily mean you have run out of virtual memory. It could be due to a stack violation caused by e.g. bad use of pointers or an out of date shared library  The number of cells is over 2 million since I had to increase the limit in snappyHexMeshDict. I am running Ubuntu 9.04/OF 1.6 on a 32 bit Core2 with 3 gb of RAM. Is this an install problem or a memory problem? Any ideas or workarounds are welcomed. thanks, Jim |
