refineMesh Cylinder

I would like to refine a blockmesh. But only an inner cylindrical part. In my opinion, refineMesh does not work properly, because it connects some cells wrong (see picture). Has anyone had the same problem and/or can suggest a solution?

If you switch of "decompose polyhedral cells" in paraview, it will look nicer. But you can trust the refineMesh - the mesh is ok. Or did checkMesh complain about something?

CheckMesh does not complain, so probably you are right. But it is still strange, why some cells are drawn wrong.

As said, try to look at it with the option "decompose polyhedral cells".. It'll look fine then..
