[blockMesh] Help! MixerVesselAMI2D-tutorial importing own blockMeshDict

Hi,

I tried to import a self created blockMeshDict file with AMI-patches in the mixerVesselAMI2D-tutorial, but it doesen't work. So I have a few questions:

Q1 Do I have to create also the files cellZones, neighbour, owner ,points and faces?

Q2 What is with the set folder, do I have to create anything in there?

Q3 what do I have to consider when I want to import my own blockMeshDict file to get the case run?

Hi how can I create these files? is it possible with setSet to create these files from scratch?

Hello Alex,

If you have your own blockMeshDic, there is no need to adapt anything else except dynamicMeshDic. This file defines your rotating axis and angular speed.

You type blockMesh in your case and that will create all the files you mentioned automatically.

The tutorial is a parallel case. So adapt decomposeParDic to the numbers of processors you have. Follow the instruction parallel processing in the tutorial. Otherwise type pimpleDymFoam in your case to run it.
