addLayer on sHM

Hello,

I'm using snappyHexMesh, and I don't understand the part that adds layers. I can't figure out waht "minThickness" does. I've been working on it all day, I understood that it's the thickness of the minimum layer below which height layers will automatically be collapsed. but I don't really see a difference.

Can someone, please explain (better than what's on the paper) how it works ?

Thank you

Dadou

Hi Markus,

Yes I've studied that the whole week, I understood some but my problem is the minimumThickness I don't know what it changes, I've tried a lot of cases but don't understand

But thank you anyway

Hi,

the value of "minThickness" is a threshold value. If the thickness drops below this value the layer is collapsed, it means no layer will be created.

Thank you Markus.

And it's the same if I have many Layers ?
