Greetings John,

Are you sure the error code isn't "42"?

Can you provide more details? Please follow the instructions given here: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...-get-help.html

Furthermore, are you able to run the first tutorial on the OpenFOAM User Guide or do you get the same error message?

Best regards,
Bruno

No getting error 22.Also when I open ParaView my model sits across not inline with wind tunnel and is not centred.

If you don't provide more details for diagnosing the problem, then it's not possible to help you.
The error code "22" is too generic and does not relate to any specific meaning.

Quick answer:
  • The OpenFOAM User Guide is provided in your OpenFOAM installation. Run this command to find where it's located:
    Code:
    echo $WM_PROJECT_DIR/doc/Guides-a4/
  • A lot of details on how to use snappyHexMesh are provided here: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/SnappyHexMesh
  • Study the contents of the "Allrun" files that are present in the tutorial cases located in the folder "tutorials/mesh/snappyHexMesh".

Then that's beyond me. You are using a unofficial port of OpenFOAM for Windows, maintained by a company named CFDsupport, who didn't even bother giving their port a proper name, so that it wouldn't be confused with the official versions of OpenFOAM that are provided by the OpenFOAM Foundation.
Anyway, you will have to contact them and request them to fix your problem.

Ah, right, sorry, forgot about that question.
You have 4 possibilities:
  1. surfaceTransformPoints is a utility in OpenFOAM that can translate and scale an STL file.
  2. Change the vertices in "blockMeshDict" and the "location in mesh" in "snappyHexMeshDict", i.e. change your tunnel location.
  3. Modify the location of the geometry in Rhino.
  4. Use the Transform filter in ParaView to change the location of the STL; then use the menu "File -> Save Data" and save to another STL file.
