blockMesh | MergePatchPairs | snappyHexMesh |Different number of cells in divisions

Hi there,

i have a question concerning blockMesh, especcially the mergePatchPair-section. I would like to create 2 blocks (block I and block II) as you can see in the image below. One can see, that these blocks should have different numbers of cells in the y-direction.

If i run blockMesh, i receive my desired mesh. But if i run snappyHexMesh afterwards, i receive an error like:

Code:

--> FOAM FATAL ERROR:
cell 934000 of level 0 uses more than 8 points of equal or lower level
Points so far:8(473280 473470 473660 511470 511660 511850 985911 985971)

If i modify the blocks in blockMesh so that block I and II has the same number in the y-direction, either blockMesh and snappyHexMesh produces a mesh.

Do you have any hints for me in order to obtain my desired mesh (in snappyHexMesh)?

Best regards!

Thanks
