How did you generate this mesh? However, you may want to look into /OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.x/applications/utilities/mesh/conversion for the available options openFoam has to offer. I guess this mesh is from tecplot and a 2D. If thats the case, you could use datToFoam and remember that its always 3D in openfoam and make the patches in the x3 direction empty.
