DAT file from Salome for use with Foam.
 
I used Salome to generate a mesh and sent it to a dat file, mainly because the unv format would lose triangles. Basically I then tried using datToFoam
but I got this error?

Polyhedrons from salome to openfoam
 
Hi,

this post is quite old but did you manage to generate the mesh with the funciton datToFoam?

i have made a mesh in salome with the algorythm "body Fitting" which consists of polyhedra apart from hexahedra and if i export the mesh in UNV format the polyhedra are missed. Also if i use the script "salomeToOpenFoam.py" i get an error that says "list assignment index out of range".

Does somebody know if it is possible to export polyhedra from salome to openfoam?
