I've just started using OpenFOAM to investigate atmospheric flow over terrain. I'm looking for suggestions on creating a cut cell mesh to model the terrain as a patch.
I already have code that adapts a regular grid produced by blockMesh to add a mountain using terrain following coordinates. I'm hoping to reuse the ground patch from this mesh in creating the cut cell mesh. Could snappyHexMesh be coaxed into producing such a mesh, or should I look at writing my own application? |

This is as far as I've got with snappyHexMesh: http://goo.gl/GWUnSJ
I've created an .obj of the ground patch with writeMeshObj and used this as the surface with refinement level (0 0). Any suggestions are most welcome! |
