Hi,

I'm currently trying to mesh a 45 degree bended pipe. but the snapping does not go as smoothly as I hoped.

I've seen that people have experienced similar behaviour, but I have yet not seen a solution to the issue. Any ideas?

Regards
Pål

I could spout off a few things to try, but without the geometry i would really be offering suggestions rather than a solution. Knowing that, try these:
  1. make sure your base-mesh is composed of cubic elements and not rectangular prismatic elements
  2. reduce the geometric size of your base mesh elements
  3. increase nFeatureSnapIter to at least 10
  4. increase the levels around your pipe (however it is already (3 3))

the first 3 should do the trick. Good luck.

Thank you for your answer. I found out that the problem is only introduced if "empty" patches exist in the base mesh.
