CFD Online Discussion Forums - [mesh manipulation] Problem with extrudeMesh sHM 2D airfoil mesh

Hi foamers,

I'm trying to make a 2D mesh of an airfoil. First I make a square blockMesh as explained in the openfoam guide. And then I run the following commands

foamClearPolyMesh

m4 constant/polyMesh/blockMeshDict.m4 > constant/polyMesh/blockMeshDict

blockMesh

transformPoints -translate "(0 0 -0.5)"

snappyHexMesh -overwrite

flattenMesh

extrudeMesh

All runs okay except that if I run snappyHexMesh, this is the output of extrudeMesh (the bounding box is incorrect). Even changing between back and front in the extrudeDict doesn make difference.

Mesh bounding box : (-10 -10 0) (10 10 1)

And if I don't run snappy before extrudeMesh I get the following output(the bounding box is correct).

Anyone knows what happens? Thank you
