[mesh manipulation] How to convert tetrahedral to polyhedral

Hello,

i want to convert my mesh from tetrahedral to polyhedral for the chtMultiRegionFoam.

The mesh was built from ANSYS. I try the polyDualMesh.

Code:

polyDualMesh 180 -concaveMultiCells 
combinePatchFaces 180

But they worked not so well. After convert with polyDualMesh,
the number of elements are 4 times larger than previously, and there are 99% of hexahedra and only 1% of polyhedral.

Hi bro,

There are just some extra lines brought up by paraview. U can show the perfect ploy mesh by just showing the patch, not the internalMesh.

Hy,

there is an option in paraFoam to show the polyedral mesh correctly.

It's caled "Use VTKPolyhedron". It's above the mesh parts.
