Only hexaedrical Cells with snappyHexMesh possible?

Hi Foamers!

For an in-house combustion solver which is based on splitting hexaedrical cells I need a mesh consisting of only hexaeders. The geometry of the mesh is based on a cfx file- unfortunately containing alot of non-hex cells. I have exported the surfaces to a STL file for further use. Now I would like to use snappyHexMesh to a hexaedrical mesh. Unfortunately, snappyHexMesh produces plenty of tetraedras, polyhedras and prisms.

Therefore, my question is: Is there a way for snappyHexMesh only to produce hexadrical Meshes?

Thanks alot!

polyDualMesh: Creates the dual of a polyMesh, e.g. can be used to generate a “honeycomb” polyhedral mesh from a tetrahedral mesh.

Thanks alot for you quick reply, Elvis!

If I am not mistaken, polyDualMesh produces polyhedrical cells. Unfortunately, for our purpose only hexaedrical cells are accaptable. Does anyone else have an idea how to solve this problem?

Thanks
