[Other] Mesh from OF23x to OF3.1ext. Error of format

Hi all,

Using the same mesh made with snappy into OF23X, I get an error when using checkMesh into OF3.1-ext.

--> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR:
unexpected class name faceCompactList expected faceList
while reading object faces

I have changed faceCompactList to faceList and a different error happens:

--> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR:
incorrect first token, expected <int> or '(', found on line 20 an error

When trying to launch snappy directly on OF3.1-ext I get a segmentation fault error with no more information about why.

I would like to try pimpleDyMFoam implementation on OF3.1 ext.

I have similar problem when I try to change version of OF and mesh is written in binary format. When files are written in ascii format everything is ok.

I have similar problem. I saved file in ascii format but problem persists. Do you have any other option to work on?

Hi
There is a tool "compactFaceToFace" wich converts constant/polyMesh/faces file from compactList (default in OpenFOAM) to standard list (foam-extended).
