Hi All

I have spent some time looking through the propeller tut. It works on my system and was thus the base for my own work.
I am trying to simulate a VAWT in 2D with a cylindrical AMI patch and using pimpleDyFoam. I have followed the same steps as the tutorial, and most of the dictionaries are the same. having stepped through the procedure and tweaked files accordingly i am still unable to get my mesh working.

The case: I have 3 blades in stl format that are not fully closed surfaces. They extend past the boundary of a simple block i define in blockMesh (this has worked before when making meshes).
Run blockMesh - done
Run surfaceFetureExtract - done
Run snappyHexMesh - done ...

I then check my boundary file and it states i have a new patch, in this instance called "rotate" but it has 0 faces...
Continuing on i run createPatch - done. AMI1 and 2 are created from the rotate and rotate_slave patches.

My snappyHexMeshDict is almost identical to the propeller case version. Can anyone please tell me why i have no faces on the rotate patch?
I am attaching the SHM dict and log as well as the script used to run the process and the boundary file from my constant/polymesh folder

Thanks people
