Hi,
I have created multiple blocks within blockMesh and a view of "paraFoam -block" is attached. I did this so that domain nearer to the terrain can have a finer mesh defined in blockmesh However, when i applied snappy, only one of the block remains which is the one with cordinated specified by locationInMesh. How can i keep all the blocks created by blockmesh? |

Hi,
You will need to merge the blocks into a single block if you want snappy to see all the blocks. Otherwise, to snappy, depending on where your locationInMesh point is, it will not see the other blocks and consequently remove the mesh from that location (you can see the difference in cell count after the "removing unreachable regions of mesh" in the log of snappy) Cheers, Antimony |

Thanks for the reply Antimony!!
Can I check with you on how to merge the block? Do i create new patches for the overlapping faces and merge them using mergePatchPairs? Or could you guide me thru an example on how to merge the blocks? |
