[snappyHexMesh] snappyHexMesh Airfoil Boundary Layer Mesh Concern

Greetings,

I have been trying to formulate a fully resolved boundary layer mesh with snappyHexMesh, being able to successfully achieve this about the span as viewed in paraView: http://imgur.com/dX1d0eH

When viewing the snappyHexMesh log, it appears that the layering has been executed successfully:

Code:

patch            faces    layers   overall thickness
                                   [m]       [%]
-----            -----    ------   ---       ---
final_validation 814080   15       0.000365  100

However, when viewed from the this plane, the boundary layer meshing warps along the trailing edge: http://imgur.com/pnrS6BE

Is this artefact merely an effect of visualising from paraView, or is the meshing not being executed properly?

Maybe you can try this approach:

Create a cut plane
show surface with edges
and activate Crincle Slice or Crincle plot

Any improvement?

Thanks for the suggestion hxaxtma! When I apply crinkling to the slice, the below happens:

Quality of the mesh looks the same as from the wireframe representation, any suggestions from here?
