messy code in mesh file

Hello, everyone

I tried to convert ICEM mesh into Foam. But after that, I can not read the files like cellzones and facezones. Opening them in ubuntu wasted me lots of time. I have tried to open them in Windows just messy code. Who can tell me what happened? and How to deal with it? Thanks

Dear TeiGyou,

first of all you should be more precise. What is a messy code. I think that you will just see some binary stuff in the file. If so, change the write mode in system/controlDict from binary to ascii. By the way. Using vim for manipulating and checking files is much faster than others like gedit.

Good luck.

After converting the mesh, I got the file in the pic. just the messy code. It is actually a binary file. How can I change the write mode?
