Refinement error

3 Attachment(s)
Hello Guys,

I was trying to mesh an stl file in sHM. But I am getting an error for the locationinMesh even though i used it correctly. I do not know why i am getting this error. I have attached two pictures and my log file(txt file) with this thread. In the picture i used the ruler command to show the point i specified in the locationinmesh command.

If you could see the log file there are also many foam warnings mentioned regarding the polymesh tetdecomposition. Why am i getting this warning?

The error i am getting is

Code:

--> FOAM FATAL ERROR:
Point (14 0.2 2) is not inside the mesh or on a face or edge.
Bounding box of the mesh:(-16 -5 -0.31) (20 5 10)

    From function refinementParameters::findCells(const polyMesh&) const
    in file autoHexMesh/autoHexMeshDriver/refinementParameters/refinementParameters.C at line 106.

Please help me out here guys

Thank you

Vignesh

Have you looked at the output of blockMesh?

Hi,

You guessed it right. I figured out the error was with the blockmesh domain definition and corrected it.

I was able to run the simulation(after doing sHM) in a serial run. But when i tried to run in parallel i got an error stating "2D Mesh motion error". I could not figure out the reason for the error.

If you have time please look at the following post and help me identify the error. I have attached the log file to the following post.
