Importing ICEM Multiregion Mesh In OpenFOAM

Dear All,

I have created mesh in ICEM (its a shell and tube heat exchanger), its a Multiregion case. I am facing two problems while importing mesh in OpenFOAM.

1. I have exported the mesh from ICEM in .msh type format, and imported it in OpenFOAM using command,

fluent3DMeshToFoam

Error: Illegal cell label -1 in neighbour adressing for face(15671278)

So i searched on our forum, and got the solution that i have to open the
same file in ICEM and save it in .cas format ( i have exported it in ASCII
format)
2. I imported the the mesh in .cas format by using command,

fluentMeshToFoam

Error: face 13304582 on new patch water is not an external face of mesh.

I found the solution for this on the OpenFAOM wiki page:
How to import fluent mesh with internal walls.

First three steps in that procedure are OK i am not able to figure out, how to proceed further.

It would be great help if somecan can help me with how to deal with interna; walls having fluid flowing on both sides of it.

If someone is having a real interest kindly mail me on apatil996@gmail.com.

Thanks in Advance.

Hey, you should try to create a part from your bodies, and later you should use sharetopo. (All this in ansys geoemtry). This make an interface between two contact faces. later go to icem and do your mesh and import.
