Hello
I would like to use mesh generated in ANSYS workbench for the solver
chtMultiRegionFoam,
What do I need
Generate two solid geometries disconnected in a fluid domain.
What did I try
Generated mesh in ansys workbench after combining the geometry into a part while exporting geometry into the meshing section.
what do I see
I get a geometry with only a single fluid solid interface , though I have two solids in contact with fluid. both solids are considered together and thus forms a single solid-fluid coupling interface.
Thus I cant give different boundary conditions at solid walls , seprately for the solid bodies.
what else did I try
Without converting into part while making geometry, I get required number of contact regions.
Now I dont have any guarrentee that the solid fluid interface mesh is coupled properly.
When I convert it into a .cas or .msh file and convert into OF readable format, it shows error showing the grid points in the solid and the nearby fluid region which is in contact with the solid are not equal in number. Thus fails in the initial mesh conversion stage itself.
(It works fine for a single soid in fluid domain)

What help do I need
1. Any method to create coupled interfaces i.e ways to form multiple parts. solid 1 with fluid1 (part1) solid2 with fluid1 (part2) or
2. Any other coupling method between solid and fluid which I could use to ensure the fluid and soid region in contact have same grid points.
3. Does any of the native meshers support the conversion and coupling from ANSYS mesh.

Thanks in advance

hi, could you do that?

Im trying something like that wit chtmultiregionSimpleFoam ,
when you did your solids you freeze them?
after you have your three solids you have to create a "part", latter you have to use sharetopo, go to the mesh module, mesh and define your bc, as your zones (solids)

This is a good question. In fact, I faced the same issue with a mesh created by Gambit and ended up creating it from scratch. If you have all details such as number of nodes etc, it wouldn't it take so long to redo it in Gmsh "if you are familiar with gmsh".

Cheers,
