Hello, I'm trying to mesh my case. The images of my geometry/blockMeshDict are attached here.

I'm just trying to do the 3rd block, it's a trapezoidal block (vertices 15 16 15 1 14 18 19 5)

But when I run blockMesh on terminal, he say "Inconsistent number of faces between block pair 2 and 3" how you can see on the image attached.

I think the problem is from the order of the vertices in block 3.

Can someone help me? I have to finish this for my research.

Thank you so much.

Hi,

If you look at your definitions for the two blocks you will see that for block 2, the number of divisions on the line connecting vertices 15 & 1 is 41.

In block 3, for the same line connecting the same vertices, the number of divisions is 18.

That is where your inconsistency comes from.

Cheers,
Antimony
