Hello CFD-online community,

I just started using OpenFOAM a few days ago and followed tutorials on openfoam.org. I still do not know all the functions and the details of OpenFOAM and I am willing to learn. I started with 2D simulations.

However, I saw it is possible to run 3D simulations and out of confusion, I would like to know if it is only a matter of meshing or if there is a need to import a 3D model, for example, into ParaView ?

As I stated above, I do not know how everything works but I have a basic understanding of programming. Sorry for this ultimate beginner question, but I will appreciate any help.

Thank you for your assistance and I am looking forward to learn with you and share.
