[Other] Suggestion for mesh generation: File containing ALL nodes to OF

Hi Everyone,

I am currently working on replicating a 2D structured mesh. I contacted the author and received a file containing all nodal values of the mesh to be replicated.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on how to generate a mesh from nodal values.

At this time, I am trying GMSH and working on a script to generate the geo file. I do not see why this shouldn't work, but I was wondering if anyone had other alternatives.

For those who are interested, I was unable to perform the task using GMSH (although it grants a nice degree of control). After inputing the nodes and connecting them, it was no longer able to render (the extrusion step).

My working solution was to use M4 to create my BlockMeshDict. I created a individual block for every cell. With close to 20k cells (blocks), M4 greatly relieves the issues of managing the node locations for the creation of blocks and boundaries. Just make sure you have an organized way to go though the nodes.
