2D axis-symmetrical mesh

Hi Foamers!
 I am trying to do a 2D axis-symmetrical mesh by creating a 2D mesh via ANSYS Fluent and than import it with fluentMeshToFoam into OpenFoam. Unfortunately fluentMeshToFoam does NOT support the creation of axi-symmetric mesh from a 2 dimensional mesh. The result is a 3D mesh with 1 layer distance between the faces (FrontAndBackPlates). The Problem is hereby, that I only got ONE patch for both front and back planes under the patch name "FrontAndBackPlates". Does anyone know how can I get around this and make the correct wedge like mesh, which is needed for a 2D axis-symmetry OpenFoam simulation?  mesh.jpg mesh2.jpg mesh3.jpg |
