Merge meshes from many regions

Dear all,

I have different regions (f01 f03 f05 f07 f12 f14 f16 f22 f24 f31 f33 f41 f43 f52 f02 f04 f06 f11 f13 f15 f21 f23 f25 f32 f34 f42 f51 f61 coolant) with meshes and parameters defined separately. In detail, the structure of my folder is the following:

0: it contains all regions folder for time 0 that are f01 f03 f05 f07 f12 f14 f16 f22 f24 f31 f33 f41 f43 f52 f02 f04 f06 f11 f13 f15 f21 f23 f25 f32 f34 f42 f51 f61 coolant

constant: it contains all folders f01, f02,...,coolant for each region

system:
it contains all folders f01, f02,...,coolant for each region

I want to merge the meshes and, more in general, the regions in order to obtain a "master region". I try to use "mergeMeshes" but I obtain errors about finding files. The last one is the following:

HTML Code:

--> FOAM FATAL ERROR: Cannot find file "points" in directory "f01/polyMesh" in times 0 down to constant
I added "points" file into that and other folders without success.
Could you provide suggestions, please? I'm not an expert about mesh management and every advice, explanation and help are welcome
Thank you for your time.
Regards,

Christian

Hi Christian, could you solve the problem of merging? I'm trying to do the same...

Dear Martin,

I already read your reply, sorry for the late. However, I solved the problem defining my "master region" in Ansys, saved as .msh. After that, I converted the mesh in OpenFOAM using the command -cellZonesOnly.
