Hi there,

I am meshing a wind tunnel around a profile and then extrude the mesh to run a 2D simulation.

When running the transient simulation using pimpleFoam, the COurant Number is high in just a few elements and this is gonna drop down the time step and so the whole simulation runtime.

From tha attached picture you can see that Co is actually very low everywhere (average 0.05) but in just roughly 10 cells it is close to 0.9.

Is there any way to merge/improve these few cells?

Thanks
Alberto
