Dear All:-
I have successfully created 18 compound wdges in blockMesh without any error or warning. However, when try to check mesh the following message come up:-
Create time

Create mesh for time = 0

#0 Foam::error:: printStack(Foam::Ostream&) at ??:?
#1 Foam::sigFpe::sigHandler(int) at ??:?
#2 ? in "/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6"
#3 Foam:: polyMesh::calcDirections() const at ??:?
#4 Foam:: polyMesh:: polyMesh(Foam::IOobject const&) at ??:?
#5 Foam::fvMesh::fvMesh(Foam::IOobject const&) at ??:?
#6 ? in "/opt/openfoam6/platforms/linux64GccDPInt32Opt/bin/foamToVTK"
#7 __libc_start_main in "/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6"
#8 ? in "/opt/openfoam6/platforms/linux64GccDPInt32Opt/bin/foamToVTK"
^C
Knowing that the same above message will come if I run renumberMesh or FoamToVTK (when doing paraFoam it crushes). What is going on ?
Thank you.

Hi Ali,
Can you share more details?
The case itself and the log file of your blockMesh process would be very good.

Thank you Hussam. The case file is attached here along with the sketch of the case study ( the numbering of some points in pencil is used here).

Hi Ali,
you're right .. checkMesh complains about the direction calculation of the mesh. I have tried to explore your mesh and your blockMeshDict, but sorry..I could not find anything. I have to admit, I have no experience in 2D geometries.
It may help you to take a look on this tutorial from Tobias Holzmann:

Cheers!
