Mesh error while using two versions of OpenFoam

Hi all Foamers

I created a complex mesh of buildings for ChtmultiregionFoam simulation in OF1712. However the mesh is not readable by OF6 as OF1712 uses domain marker approach rather than the CAD based approach and "location in Mesh" in normal SHM is defined as "locations in Mesh". This generates some illegal characters that are not read by OF6 SHM. Is there a tool that can make both meshes compatible?
I need OF6 since modified solver is compiled with OF6 and does not compile with OF1712.

I 'll be grateful for help.

Regards

Omer
