TopoSet does not select all faces

Hi everyone,

Hope you are doing well. Recently, I have stuck in a situation and can not understand how this problem can be solved. My problem is with topoSet. Lets briefly describe what I am trying. Please have a look at the attachment. I would like to create two different faceSets from an STL surface meshed using snappyhexmesh. First of all, I created a 3D meshing and then converted into 2D using extrudeMesh utility. After doing this, when I apply topoSet, it runs perfectly and produced two different faceSets. But the faceSet created by topoSet seems to miss some of the faces (see attached picture). I can not understand what's happening here. Why these cells are not selecting?. Is that the problem of Meshing (CheckMesh shows Mesh Ok)? or defining topoSet?

For better clarification, I also attached my topoSet and createPatch dictionary.

Can anyone comment on it so that I can understand what the problem is?
Any help would be appreciated. I didn't find any thread about this issue.

Regards
Razon

Hi Owais,
Sure.It was just a problem of defining the coordinates of the two extreme points. I made a mistake to select wrong coordinate of Z direction. If you face this kind of problem, I would suggest please check the bounding box carefully before putting it in the topoSet. I think slicing by paraview is the best way to identify the coordinates of the bounding box.

Have fun!

Cheers
