Error when converting fluent .msh file into OpenFOAM mesh

Hi everybody,

I am new in OpenFoam and CFD actually. I generated my mesh in fluent as .msh file (in ASCII format) and try to convert it by using fluent3DMeshToFoam to use in OpenFOAM. However, I am having such an error message and I could not resolve it:

--> FOAM FATAL ERROR:
Do not understand characters: /
on line 5082991

From function virtual int yyFlexLexer::yylex()
in file fluent3DMeshToFoam.L at line 748.

FOAM exiting

Have you ever faced with such a problem? Do you have any idea about how to fix this problem?

Thanks in advanced!

I solved the problem, and I wanted to write it for people who might need it in future. The problem is because of my geometry file. I generated the geometry in CATIA, and import it to ANSYS, and then generated the mesh. When I open imported file with SpaceClaim, something that I could not grasp in detail has happened and my geometry file becomes problematic. I solved this by generating my geometry in SpaceClaim from scratch, and generated mesh using that geometry is converted to OpenFoam mesh without any problems.

I hope it will be useful for people who suffer from same problem!
