Hello, everyone.

I am working on the mesh for a baffled column (see attached image). I am using swiftblock to create the blockMeshDict.

I would like to keep it 100% hex mesh (or as close as possible), but I am struggling on how to deal with the abrupt diameter change at the baffle. I know there are ways to introduce infinitely thin baffles, but that would not work for me because I need the angled surface on the top face. Would I have to merge faces at the baffle in order to maintain the hex mesh, or is there a better way?

I also thought of having a very shallow angle (almost horizontal) on the bottom side of the baffle, but I'm afraid that would give me very skewed cells.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
