structured mesh in Gmsh appears triangular after gmshtofoam

2 Attachment(s)
I created a 3D structured mesh in gmsh, which was created well, without error or warning. However when I transferred it to openFOAM format using gmshtofoam, and then viewed it in paraview, it appeared differently to the gmsh. Any help will be very much appreciated? Is it something to do with paraview?

I'm new to gmsh and openFOAM and I'm using mac. The attached are the figures, which show a region of the domain.

There is an option in paraview called "triangulate the slice". Just disable this option and your mesh should look hexahedral again.

Many thanks Andereas. It solves the problem.

Now I'm trying to densify my mesh. But gmshtofoam process killed without any error message; please see the attached. Any idea why?

I've never worked with gmsh / gmshToFoam.

Maybe have a look at your RAM usage?

OK thank you very much again. I'll have a look.
