mesh generating for locally sharp geometry

hello,

you can see the geometry in the link.

There is always problem during addLayer cuz of the serration at the trailing edge of profile. Can anybody give me some hints?

Give up, or have a look at the guide (may be a useful setting you can find for that = https://www.openfoam.com/documentati...sh-layers.html) (ensure the surface mesh (e.g. STL file) is very fine.)

I read the link and set snappyHexMeshDict again, but still there are no layers at the trailing edge, even I am meshing a normal blade without serration...

Does anybody really dont have any experience for this problem?

I gave up to use snappyHexMesh and will use cfMesh which is much more simple.

Hi,

- I regret my remark. But my remark was limited to the cases where a user needs a very good quality boundary layer mesh. Otherwise snappyHexMesh is very powerful, and easy to use.
- "cfMesh" is not easier or more powerful with its current state than snappyHexMesh. Also, the open-source cfMesh is not being updated - or not supported any more since cfMesh group decided to go forward in another direction (cfMesh+).

Hope it helps.
