Overset axisymmetric meshing

I'm trying to construct a model that uses overset meshing in an axisymmetric geometry. The moving mesh region needs to go all the way to the rotational axis, which is causing me problems.
Cutting everything off at the axis (leaving my moving mesh a 'c-shape') doesn't work because then the area within the c isn't totally bounded and therefore isn't picked up as a 'hole'. If I extend the moving mesh past the axis it tries to solve for that region, giving unphysical results that crash the solver. Has anyone worked out an approach to achieve this before? Thanks, Mike |
