Hi all,

I'm working with binary TIFF files (512x512x512 pixels) that represent porous media and I need to generate a perfectly cubic mesh from these files. Initially, I was generating an STL from Fiji/ImageJ and using snappyHexMesh (only turning on castellatedMesh with no level of refinement) to generate the mesh. However, when I tried this on a small sub sample (10x10x10), the mesh was not perfectly cubic. Additionally, some of the features are smoothed when creating the STL and I'd really like to keep all of the original data from the TIFF stack.

Long story short, is there a way to generate a mesh directly from a binary TIFF file? Maybe with blockMesh? I'm just not sure how I would import the binary data to blockMesh..

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
