Сombining stl surface meshes
1 Attachment(s)
Hello!
There are different stl files. Their surfaces are randomly refined. It's supposed they are connected, because created using step files (check union.png). How can I unite them for getting a single external surface (single.png)? I can't use boolean operations in Gmsh, because stl format isn't supported there. If I simply add the start of second stl in first and then use cartesianMesh, I get problems at boundary. Do utilites like stitchMesh or mergeMeshes may help? I have read about them, but i'm not sure, how they should be used. Thanks! Attachment 83508 |

I couldn't understand well. Would you like to merge the .stl files or the mesh created regarding those files? Second, wich meshing tool did you use to create the grids? |
