merge or combine several cellZone

Hi Foamer,
Long story short, I'm making a heat-exchanger mesh with structured and non-structured mesh, so I have to divide them into several groups to mesh them seperately in Salome, it's called submesh.

Now I used ideasUnvToFoam to transfer unv file into polymesh, there are for example two different cellzone for shell side. please refer to the attachment, left side Tetrahedron(non-structured mesh) is for one cellzone, right side hexahedron(structured mesh) is for another cellzone.

Question is, how to merge/combine these two cellzone together to make one cellzone since they should be the single cellzone for heat exchanger shell side fluid.

Really appreciate any idea or hint, maybe do something in Toposet, Salome, even gmesh? I could send my unv&polymesh through email if needed...

Thanks!

Hi jackjiang,

I know a 2 steps method with topoSet
1-using "zoneToCell", creating a cellset containing the 2 cellzone. it means the source in topoSet is the 2 cellzone.

2-using "setToCellZone", changing the cellset containing the 2 cellzone to a cellzone.

Shenhui Ruan,
Best regards!
