How do I create a rectangular prism with a hole on one of its faces which acts as an inlet in a multiphase problem? the rectangular prism dimensions are 5 *5 *50 and the hole in on the centre of the 5 *5 face and its diameter is 0.5 mm.
I have to then mesh it. The geometry is then to be meshed by a Cartesian grid of 0.15mm increments on the z direction( 50 mm axis). On the x-y plane, the same mesh size is used in a mapped mesh form in order for the mesh to form the shape of the orifice cross section. How do I do this? Please help. |

Does this hole in your case also require a mesh? So you would have two different materials?

Yes the hole requires a mesh as well. It acts as an inlet so no, there are not two different materials
