Need to re-run SHM when changed something in Blockmesh?

Greetings,

do i need to rerun SnappyHexMesh if i changed something in my blockmeshdict?

And if so, would "-overwrite" or "-constant" be the the right addition?

Kind regards,

assuming your final mesh is snappyHexMesh yes. Mesh from the blockMesh is a background mesh, from which the mesh in snappy is generated.

Overwrite on snappyHexMesh will overwrite the original background mesh with the final mesh in constant/polyMesh. Without it the mesh is written to some time directory (based on the settings in controlDict).
