[snappyHexMesh] Mesh Regions

Hi there!

I am trying to mesh two different regions (yarn and air) from a disconnected STL-groups for the yarn.

I managed to mesh the regions, however the names of the region are not as what I have defined. It gives me: domain1, domain3, insideZone3 and outsideZone; where I would like it to be: insideZone1, insideZone2, insideZone3 and outsideZone.

I guess this is due to how i wrote my snappyHexMeshDict, but I could not figure out how can I make this right.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

I'm not totally sure, but I think you should try with 3 separate STL files for your 3 inside zones. I don't think you can use 3 times the same surface (inside) in refinementSurfaces. This would explain why the only inside zone correctly defined in your final mesh is the last one in your snappyHexMeshDict (insideZone3)
