Avoid mesh "bumping"

1 Attachment(s)
Hello to everyone,
In an interfoam simulation I'm in-countering some stability problems, my idea is that these problems are due to the poor mesh.
But, what I'd like to ask is normal to have a sort of rough surface, to be more specific:
in postprocesing (paraview) I checked the results using a clip over a scalar (alpha.water) equal to 0.5 in order to visualize only water; the results are shown in the figure below.

Is normal to have this kind of "rough" - unnaturally regular - pattern on the water surface?
How can I avoid it?

Thanks...

Miguel

Can this be related to some paraview's graphical issues?

Would you show your mesh resolution/type?
Using point data in Paraview can smooth out a bit, don't know what you are using here.

Thank you for your reply, I have solved the problem by decreasing the cells dimension in the blockMesh.
