How to use a volScalarField as cellDisplacement input (dynamic mesh)?
Hello Foamers,
I have been stuck with a problem and I hope you can help me. I would like to use the dynamic mesh feature of OpenFOAM in a specific manner: I have an object of class volScalarField as output of a customized solver, which contains values for ground surface displacement (negative for erosion, positive for growth). I would like to "feed" these values directly as an input for the dynamic mesh motion at each time step for the bottom boundary. I have looked into tutorials such as wingMotion and SnakeRiverCanyon, but none of them corresponded to my specific case. Is it possible to simply specify a set of values (in a volScalarField) as input for cellDisplacement of a patch, without performing any computations related to the dynamic evolution of the mesh? I hope my question is clear. Let me know if you need any other details! Thanks a lot, Sara |
