I am trying to do meshing with snappyHexMesh. After some time of running this command, system stops executing giving me the error -

This is usually caused by not specifying a patch for a boundary face.

Thank you so much for posting it, I am facing exactly the same problem in tryin' to add Boundary Layers to a domain provided by cyclic patches: I know this is a really old post but, please, if someone has some hints share them with us.
