Hello Dear Foamers,
I am using openfoam v10 compressibleinterfoam to build up dynamic meshing based on alpha.water field. (1) Based on the dambreak tutorial, I made it to be a 3D case, with all boundaries closed wall. When I run the case with dynamic meshing it says timestep continuity error (as the picture 1), but the code can still continue to run. (The dynamicmeshdict file is as attached) (2) I also tried to build a case with compressibleinterfoam where water enters a tank through inlet patch. The tank is initially filled with air, and has no venting. When I apply dynamic meshing, it shows a continuity error (attached as picture 2) and stops running. Tested solutions: 1. To solve this continuity error, I tried different refinement fields, different inlet conditions, different correctfluxes, they all did not work. 2. I tried a 3D dambreak case with all closed wall, and run it with openfoam v11, there is no continuity error. 3. I tried the 3D dambreak case (with one patch open and connected with atmosphere), and run it with openfoam v11. When there is dynamicmeshing the code says core dumped. In your opinion, what might be the problem, and what should I try to remove the continuity error? Thanks again for your help ! Best, Ann |
