Hi, I'm playing with blockMesh mergePatchPairs and am having trouble merging adjacent patches.
As a quick disclaimer, I would typically approach this geometry differently than shown here by creating blocks that share vertices and use divisions to control the mesh resolution - this is more of a thought experiment. I have a block, next to set of blocks. I can mergePatchPairs just fine on oneside. But if I add another single block to the side adjacent to the set of blocks (90 degree elbow), mergePatchParis fails. If I add a block to the opposite side it merges just fine. any thoughts here? Is this not supported? Did I miss something? The blockMeshDict below works fine, if you uncomment the final merger it will fail. I have a few ideas and leads I'm researching but I'm just wondering if this is even possible!
