How does Gmsh deal with overlap boundaries?

Hi, Dear all,
I am try to make a case for sliding interface model using Gmsh.
but for the insideSlider and outsideSlider, some problem seems to be exist.
If I set the two interfaces to be completely overlapping, Gmsh will automaticly agore one.
My Questiion is that, is that a specific feature of Gmsh?, and is there any alternative?

And, I still have another problem with gmshToFoam, it only read the points to foam, and give errors to all faces like:
................................................
--> FOAM Warning :
From function gmshToFoam
in file gmshToFoam.C at line 891
Could not match gmsh face 4(168 995 994 169) to any of the interior or exterior faces that share the same 0th point
--> FOAM Warning : Not using gmsh face 4(169 994 993 170) since zero vertex is not on boundary of polyMesh
------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is my geo (I use 2D mesh comand for it):

I am very thankful to any hints.
Happy weekend.

Hai
