I'd like to define some face zones in my mesh, I was wondering if there is a way to do it by putting something in the blockMeshDict file.
I've discovered that you can assign point zones by defining the blocks with an extra argument like this: blocks ( hex (0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7) innerZone (7 7 7) simpleGrading (1 1 1) hex (16 8 11 19 20 12 15 23) outerZone (7 7 7) simpleGrading (1 1 1) hex (17 9 8 16 21 13 12 20) outerZone (7 7 7) simpleGrading (1 1 1) hex (18 10 9 17 22 14 13 21) outerZone (7 7 7) simpleGrading (1 1 1) hex (19 11 10 18 23 15 14 22) outerZone (7 7 7) simpleGrading (1 1 1) ); Is there something similar for face zones? A more general version of this question: "Is there a definition of the blockMeshDict file syntax somewhere?" Thanks |

Hi Hansel,
I don't think so. But have a look into the "setSet" and "setsToZones" utilities. Henrik |
