OpenCFD and SGI take OpenFOAM Training to Australia
OpenCFD and
www.hpctraining.com - the education division of SGI - are taking the
OpenFOAMŪ Foundation and Advanced training courses to Australia, with the first courses scheduled for 14-17 April 2009. Further dates are also scheduled for the UK and Germany in May and September 2009 respectively.
OpenFOAM, produced by OpenCFD, simulates complex fluid flows involving multiple phases, turbulence, heat transfer, particle-tracking and chemical reactions. As an open source product, and freely available under the GNU General Public Licence, OpenFOAM is fully extensible, enabling users to customise it for their own needs. OpenFOAM is used worldwide, by industry and academics alike, across a wide range of engineering applications, e.g. automotive, nuclear, marine, fire, medical, processing, and HVAC.
SGI is a leading provider of high performance computing, storage and visualization.
