OpenCFD release OpenFOAM® version 1.7.1
OpenCFD are pleased to announce the release of version 1.7.1 of their OpenFOAM open source CFD toolbox. Version 1.7.1 is distributed: (1) as Debian packs created for Ubuntu 10.04 LTS; (2) as source code for compilation on other Linux systems. Version 1.7.1 is primarily derived from version 1.7.0 including a number of bug-fixes and new developments, notably the following:
Compiler support OpenFOAM-1.7.1 now compiles and optimises correctly using gcc-4.5.0 following the resolution of memory aliasing issues. Operating system support OpenFOAM-1.7.1 has been verified to run on OpenSuSE-11.3 using the system gcc-4.5.0 compiler. For information about the new features in the 1.7 series of OpenFOAM software, see also the version 1.7.0 release announcement and release notes. Bug reporting: The release of OpenFOAM-1.7.1 coincides with the release of the new bug reporting system.
